Evaluation at Heinrich Heine Universität

We are developing teaching and studying conditions further on a continuous basis, in accordance with the University’s legal mandate. An important component of this ongoing process is the regular implementation of evaluation procedures which are regulated by the Evaluation Rules. The universities and their associates are legally obliged to participate in the evaluation (see also the University Act of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (§ 6 HG NRW)).

The active participation of students and/or graduates in the evaluation is very important for the quality development and assurance process and therefore in everyone’s interest: Concrete improvement of studying and teaching at the University is possible through direct feedback.

The surveys, which are carried out at fixed intervals, are aimed at our students as well as at graduates from our University. The following are evaluated on a long-term basis:

  • Course modules (lectures, seminars, etc.)
  • Courses of study
  • Study evaluation (general) via graduate surveys
