Special funding

Special funding can be applied for by employees with a degree of disability (GdB) of at least GdB 50:

Special funding is available for employees who are in possession of a 'Schwerbehindertenausweis' (GdB of at least 50). The participant can submit a detailed personal application ("individual application") for special funding (form C.2 - see Download Centre) to the NA DAAD via the International Office. The application must be submitted to the NA DAAD two months before the start of the stay. Special funding is only paid in a financially funded period, i.e. not for zero grant periods.

The allowance is calculated on the basis of the additional costs caused by the stay abroad, unless other national offices (integration offices, health insurance funds, landscape associations, social welfare offices, Studentenwerk) finance them. These must be listed and documented when the application is submitted.
