Our study programme overview shows you all the possibilities there are to study at HHU. We offer Bachelor and Master programmes, the German State examination (Staatsexamen) for degrees in Law, Pharmacy and Medicine, and further education programmes. In the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, apart from basic Bachelor degree programmes there are also combined Bachelor programmes (with a so-called major and a minor subject). Further information can be found in the descriptions of the individual study programmes.

Language requirements
Most of our programmes are taught in German. Even the programmes that are taught in English do in many cases require a certain knowledge of the German language. Please check here which language certificates are accepted.

  • Unrestricted admission (zulassungsfrei - open local enrolment),
  • Nationwide restricted admission (nationwide NC - numerus clausus),
  • Local restricted admission (local NC - numerus clausus) or
  • Aptitude assessment (Master degree courses with local admission examination).

The system gives you an overview on a daily basis of all classes on offer, enabling you to create your own individual curriculum. This “electronic calendar” also provides a campus-wide directory with contact details.

Heine Research Academies are a joint academic institution formed by the graduate academies of the faculties (iGRAD, medRSD and philGRAD) and the Junior Scientist and International Researcher Center (JUNO). Heine Research Academies are supporting your research work by a complementary program of transferable skills and workshops. We want to advance your career and training as an early career researcher.
