'Good Scientific Practice for Doctoral Researchers'

The faculty council of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences decided on changes of the doctorate regulations on May 17th 2011. Among other these changes foresee that candidates applying for the doctoral examination procedures will have to proof participation in the course "Gute wissenschaftliche Praxis für Promovierende"/'Good Scientific Practice for Doctoral Researchers' or an equivalent course. Please find the current doctorate regulation via: http://www.math-nat-fak.hhu.de/promotion/promotionsordnung-und-formulare-zur-promotion.html.

Specifically for doctoral researchers iGRAD designed the Seminar 'Good Scientific Practice for Doctoral Researchers'. The seminar is based on the curriculum suggested by the ombudsman of the 'Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft (DFG)'. The GSP-seminar is offered regularly in the iGRAD program and is free of charge for all doctoral researchers of the faculty.

Whether the intermediate regulations are of relevance for you or not, - regarding your individual career development and for your 'formal' preparation for the doctoral examination, iGRAD highly recom-mends participation in the GSP-Seminar.
