|iGRAD About iGRAD|
As an umbrella institution of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MNSF) of the Heinrich Heine University one central aim of the "Interdisciplinary Graduate and Research Academy Düsseldorf (iGRAD)" is the coordination of a structured doctoral education. iGRAD already offers extensive service and support to the following programs for renowned top priority research areas of the Faculty:
Furthermore iGRAD aims at advancing the quality and diversity of doctoral education, the promotion of interdisciplinary co-operations and to prepare doctoral researchers as future executives being responsibly to act even beyond disciplinary and national frontiers.
In order to accomplish these goals iGRAD offers special courses in transferable skills to all doctoral fellows combined with coaching concerning individual questions of ongoing PhD projects. Coordinated research networks like collaborative research centers or research training groups can become institutional iGRAD members and will get support regarding organization and realization of their specific qualification programs. iGRAD services are therefore open for all iGRAD members.
