All students at a university must render the semester fee. With this money, facilities are supported which are in the interest of all students.

The semester fee amounts currently to € 232,32. The money must be paid upon enrolment or re-registration. From this sum, € 150,62 are for the semester ticket which is valid for the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia, € 73,20 go to the Düsseldorf Student Services (Düsseldorf Studenten-
werk) and a further € 8,50 to the Student Union (AllgemeinenStudierendenausschuss (AStA)).
