Getting off to a better start: the Careers Service
Careers service
The careers service is part of Heinrich Heine University’s Student Service, offering a wide range of information and advisory services whether you’re trying to decide which subject to study or starting work.
The careers service is therefore the main contact point for all queries regarding the transition from studying to working. It is the result of collaboration between Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and the Düsseldorf Chamber of
Industry and Commerce. Its services can be used by students, graduates and doctoral students on the one hand, as well as local and national companies on the other, serving as an information centre and link between both sides, enabling them to establish career-related contacts.
A member of the careers service with practical experience acts as the main point of
contact for companies wishing to get in touch with students and graduates, supporting the former in recruiting tomorrow’s young, qualified employees. Students and graduates, in contrast, can receive valuable information to prepare them for a successful career start.
You can find an overview of the advisory services on
offer here.
The job portal www.stellenwerk-duesseldorf.de is also available for anyone looking for internships, part-time work and job vacancies.
The careers service has a comprehensive database containing all training measures and career-related information to be had at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf for students, graduates, doctoral students and other interested parties.
