Since 2008 we have held the title “family-friendly higher education institution”. In this year our work towards equality was again rewarded with the title TOTAL E-QUALITY. It distinguishes those companies, organisations, higher education institutions and research facilities which pursue a personnel policy directed towards equal opportunity.
Furthermore, the “Comeback programme” was able to facilitate the return of a second young female researcher to Heinrich Heine University: Last week Dr. Sylva Liebenwein received funding to complete her post-doctoral Habilitation project. The programme was launched as a two-year funding scheme for (male and female) researchers who would like to gain further qualifications for an academic career (as a professor) after a period of parental leaven.
