Campus Barriere Frei - Campus without barriers

CBF Logo

Campus without barriers (CBF) is an interest group, which was founded for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
The founders were three former students of the university who wanted to improve the study conditions.
The counsellors of the office for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf are present at the meetings. They are being supported by their colleagues from the Arbeitsstelle Barrierefreies Studium (of FH D- University of Applied Sciences), the General Student’s Committee (AStA) and the German National Association for Student Affairs (Deutsches Studierendenwerk) in their endeavour to offer their support.

The group is an opportunity for the members to communicate and talk about their experiences and receive answers to their questions. Everybody who is interested in supporting students with impairments is welcome to join the group and attend the meetings.

The agenda of our meetings depends on what the participants want to discuss. From time to time, we also invite speakers who inform about topics like academic adjustments, possible placements and the entry into professional life.
