HHU - The Entrepreneurs' University
In July 2011, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) was one of ten universities awarded a prize within the nationwide EXIST IV Competition "The Entrepreneurs' University". The award-winning strategy concept of the HHU foresees numerous new measures for the optimization and intensification of new business start-ups at Düsseldorf University. In addition to excellent research and teaching, the HHU is creating an environment which fosters start-ups. The aim is to support students, graduates and researchers in the realization of their entrepreneurial ideas and visions.
CEDUS - Central contact point
The new Center for Entrepreneurship Düsseldorf (CEDUS) forms a key element of this new concept: It is the HHU’s central service point for all questions concerning self-employment and setting up a business. CEDUS is the contact point for interested and prospective new entrepreneurs from all faculties. A new Chair for Entrepreneurship, with a focus on start-up and growth financing, is also developing the area of entrepreneurship research and offers a new curriculum with courses and lectures for new entrepreneurs.
Detailed information on all questions related to services and advice for start-ups, teaching curriculum, funding, as well as the mediation and utilization of special facilities available for the development of individual start-up ideas can be found on the CEDUS website: www.cedus.hhu.de
