The Manchot Graduate School "Molecules of Infection" was founded on the 1rst of October 2009 with financial backing from the Jürgen Manchot Foundation.

The aim of the new Graduate School is to provide a unique scientific training for PhD students in the field of infection biology. The young researchers will be trained to develop and implement new strategies for the elimination / clearance of pathogens from infected host. The projects undertaken by the Manchot Graduate School "Molecules of Infection" (GS MOI) will focus on molecules that play important roles during infections, and these will be characterized in the context of specific disease models.
