PATRIZIA KUMPF

In her schooldays, Patrizia perfected her English when working as an actress in the English language theatre in Giessen, Germany. She achieved further foreign language experience during a stay in Pertuis, France where she went to school. She achieved the Diplôme d’Etudes Universitaires Générales in French law in 2006 after four semesters of double studies in French and German law. Patrizia spent her 5th semester of law studies in Lausanne, Switzerland. Currently, she concentrates her studies in international intellectual property law. She is a study assistant at the chair for commercial law of Prof. Dr. Annemarie Matusche-Beckmann and assists a law office in literature research.

JONATHAN RIPLEY-EVANS

Jonathan completed a B.Com.(Law) at the Rand Afrikaans University (Johannesburg) in 2003 as well as a LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2006. He is currently enrolled for an LLM program at the University of Saarland, specializing in comparative law, as well as being a member of the Vis Moot team 2007/2008. Jonathan’s legal interests lie in the fields of business and economic law, and he hopes to complete his articles at firm dealing in international commercial transactions based in Johannesburg, starting in January 2009.

FRANK SPOHNHEIMER

Frank lives in Wadgassen, Germany. As of 2002, he studied law for eight semesters at University of Saarland, Saarbruecken and participated in a summer session at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005. Frank passed the first state exam in June 2007. He is writing his doctoral thesis on arbitration law under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Helmut Ruessmann and works as a research assistant for Prof. Dr. Annemarie Matusche-Beckmann. He was awarded fellowships for his studies and his doctoral thesis from the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation. Frank has been an elected member of the City Council of Wadgassen since 2004.

 

A.Mueller

ADRIEN MUELLER

In addition to his second native language of French, Adrien is a fluent English speaker. He learned English during summer courses in England and a high school semester in the USA. Adrien is studying law in his 5th semester in Saarbruecken, Germany and he also studied French law during his freshman year. His first state exam is planned for 2010 specializing in corporate and commercial law. Next year Adrien plans to study in Exeter, England for two semesters to achieve his LL.M degree. Inspired by an internship at Dechert LLP in Paris, Adrien wants to be a lawyer in an international law firm. 

 

Flores-Loth

ADRIAN FLORES LOTH

Adrian grew up in Mexico as well as in Germany, where he also went to school. His knowledge of Spanish, as a second mother tongue reinforces the Vis Moot team's qualification in an excellent manner. He is currently attending his 5th semester and simultaneously supports the Vis Moot Team of UdS where he enjyos the opportunity of working in international law, his main area of interest. Adrian wishes to enter diplomatic service after ending his studies or work for an international office. During his studies, he plans a stay at a foreign university. In his spare time, Adrian does strength endurance training and jogging. He is also a member of the "Landeswettkampfmanschaft Saarland" of the "Deutsche Reservisten Verband", the Saarland reservist team, which is dedicated to military competitions.

HENDRIK SCHAEFER

Hendrik is studying law in his 7th semester at the University of Saarland. His anticipated end of studies will be January 2009. He has focused his studies on the elective subject German and international business and contract law, as the field of corporate law is of special interest to him. After his graduation he aspires to a career as a lawyer in an international law firm or as an in-house-counsel for a company in the field of corporate law or M&A. His hobbies are handball, ski and reading.
