| GEMMA BISHOP Gemma is currently spending a year studying German Law at the University of Hamburg. She is an Erasmus student from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. This is the third year of her degree in “Law with German Law & Language”. Before beginning her legal studies she took A-Levels in French, German and English Literature. During this time she spent a summer in Austria working as an au-pair to improve her German. |
| THOMAS BRABAND Thomas has been enrolled at the University of Hamburg since October 2005. He acquired profound language skills in Spanish, was awarded a “diplôme d’études en langue française, deuxième dégrée” for his skills in French and he speaks English fluently. He always looks forward to using these abilities to communicate with people from all over the world. |
| KAROLINA GAJEWSKI The first two semesters of Karolina’s law studies have been characterized by outstanding achievements, particularly in private law. She participated in a seminar on commercial law for the twenty best students of her class. Further, Karolina passed her intermediate exam in the first year at university. Adjacent to her studies, Karolina is working as private tutor in a cram school and as assistant in the Buchholzer Kunstverein (art club). |
| FULUK LIU Fuluk studies law at the University of Hamburg and „Klavier Diplommusikerziehung“ at the „Musikhochschule fuer Musik und Theater Hamburg“ (HfMT), both in the 5th term. Besides her studies she works as a student assistant at the chair of Prof. Repgen’s Chair for German and Nordish Law History. Further, as a member of the European Law Students Association, the students’ parliament and the senate of the HfMT she does her best to act for the students’ interests. In her free time she enjoys meeting friends, reading and joining cultural events. |
| MATTHIAS VON KOSSAK After graduating from Gymnasium in 2005, Matthias served in community service. Since 2006 he has been studying law at the University of Hamburg and working as a student assistant in a law firm. As he is interested and involved in politics, he gained first working experience during internships at the Bundestag, the German Parliament, as well as the Hamburger Buergerschaft, the Parliament of Hamburg. He is fluent in English and Polish and has gained a qualification in Latin. |
| PHILIPP SCHROEDER Philipp attends to the law department of the University of Hamburg with a special emphasis on private international law. He received his school education in a German boarding school and his junior year at the St. Johns the Baptist high school in Long Island, New York. Philipp has gained preliminary first practical experiences through various international internships and assignments. |
MALTE STUEBINGER Malte started studying law in October 2005 after his final school exams in May 2005 in Timmendorfer Strand. During the last three years at school he joined an actors club and participated in several school theater productions. He worked for five years as a volunteer in youth education for the DLRG, a German life guard association. Malte specializes in the conflict of laws and comparison of laws. He acquired a „Latinum“, his English is fluent.
